Trevoh Chalobah Set to Replace Marc Guehi in Three Lions Selection
Trevoh Chalobah emulated his sibling Nathaniel in playing for England, becoming the 21st pair of siblings to be selected for the England side.
The Chelsea defender is likely to link up with the Three Lions selection to cover for injured Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi.
The 26-year-old is scheduled to join the team for England's last World Cup qualifying matches against Serbia and Albania, but it has still not been confirmed.
The national side have already secured qualification for next summer's tournament.
Chalobah was given his initial selection under England manager Thomas Tuchel in May and then made his debut against the Senegalese team.
In the month of September, Tuchel stated Chalobah was unfortunate to be left out from the team for qualifiers against Andorra and Serbia, and additionally did not select him for the subsequent October fixtures.
Tuchel has been an significant figure in Chalobah's career, having awarded him his Chelsea debut in the year 2021.
Chalobah has played in nearly all games for Chelsea in the current campaign, with the club third in the Premier League, in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals and in the group stage of the Champions League.
Guehi suffered a foot problem in Crystal Palace's Europa Conference League win over the Dutch side recently.
There are set to be further additions to the team. Newcastle head coach Eddie Howe has said that both winger Anthony Gordon (hip) and goalkeeper Nick Pope (concussion symptoms) will withdraw from the national team.
