Paramount Skydance Set to Eliminate Around 2,000 US Jobs – Report
Paramount Skydance plans to begin large-scale job cuts during the week starting 27 October, eliminating approximately 2,000 American roles as part of a expense reduction strategy totaling $2bn under new chief executive David Ellison.
These job cuts come after the union between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed during August valued at $8.4bn.
Additional global layoffs are anticipated, as the firm intending to disclose full details via its Q3 financial results on 10 November.
Previous updates stated the company planned to eliminate from 2,000 and 3,000 positions before the start of November.
As of December 2024, the company employed nearly 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts along with 3,500 temporary project employees.
