No Favorable Conclusion - Electorate Throughout the US Express Worries Over the Government Closure

American lawmakers from both parties are pointing fingers as thousands of federal staff remain on uncompensated time off and the closure persists with no end in prospect.

The Democratic Party have declined to endorse the GOP funding bill unless expiring insurance support that they claim many working families rely on are continued.

The Republican Party expect Democrats to enact a interim legislation initially and then they can negotiate the support payments.

Misty Dennis, Mid-Forties, Republican

This Golden State voter is concerned about the extensive impact of the closure on regular Americans.

The Republicans have 53 supporters, they require 60 to approve the bill. Is it really that challenging to find common ground over seven supporters so that Americans avoid harm?

If this drags on for another week or two, the bottom line is US citizens are being hurt, American citizens are being impacted by this and someone should do something to be the grown-up in the group.

I feel sometimes legislators are so removed from ordinary citizens, the common folk going about their day, so they forget what the challenge is like and I believe they should take that into consideration, particularly if it's 750,000 Americans that are not getting paid.

That's a large group of Americans not getting paid, that's a significant number of citizens failing to contribute their earnings into the market. The public are just being harmed.

Denise Demontagnac, 22, Democratic Supporter

This Maryland voter understands this closure will cause pain to many US citizens, but she feels it is a worthy battle.

I'm nervous because there is no positive result with the government being shut down.

I'm highly anxious about what's going to transpire to economically disadvantaged groups, learners who need public aid and public servants.

But this is a important struggle for the Democrats to fight. Certainly positions are going to be lost, services are going to lack financial support, which is so unfortunate but I do not believe that is blood that the Democratic Party would have on their conscience.

I believe it's worth it to stand firm, this is communicating a meaningful message to their supporters.

A Democratic Voter, 36, Democrat

This Golden State voter is anxious the Democrats do not have strategy in their closure approach.

I don't know if the top Democrat has a strategy for an off-ramp to discussions or how to lead the faction out of this.

I am uncertain if the Democratic Party have a effective narrative to the public on what they're attempting.

In terms of digital outreach, the GOP certainly have the edge. The messaging is not effective on what the left are attempting.

I'm already at a point where I'm somewhat nervous because government shutdowns don't help everyone.

I'm going to be fine, but for the rest who depends on the government, who hopes to tour a federal park or institution, they're going to be impacted, if not currently, then in the short term.

And that is unreasonable.

A Republican Voter, Fifty-Five, GOP Supporter

This Hoosier State voter states Democrats are engaging in partisan games with regular Americans and their income.

This is typical political maneuvering. It is a stopgap measure they are trying to enact, that the Democrats don't support.

People are referring to it as a Democratic closure, it's not on the Republicans, it's due to Schumer, he's acting to remain relevant within his political faction - in the meanwhile, all are in the difficult position.

I do not perceive that this is going to end.

The ordinary citizens are trapped between sides, and Democrats are willing to sacrifice those people. They're hurting their reputation any favours when they actually delay issues like this.

Trey Stewart, Twenty-Seven, Democratic Supporter

This Sunshine State citizen claims Democrats' tactic is a tough but necessary one and one that affects his sister, who has been furloughed because of the funding gap.

The Democratic plan is a difficult one, but regrettably it is a required one.

They have failed to do very much to slow or block the current administration's agenda.

I endorse their approach, I endorse their rationale for taking this action.

The current president is a aggressor and if you give into a bully he's going to ask for more, that's how bullies operate. So you have to stand up to a intimidator to make him understand you're not going to concede for without resistance.

The point when it goes too far is when the Democrats start failing in the PR battle, if the narrative turns to faulting the left then it might be necessary to call it quits.

A Republican Voter, Mid-Sixties, GOP Supporter

This Arizona citizen is unaffected by the shutdown so he is ok with the closure continuing, if that is what it takes for Republicans to win.

I would think after the period that the Democrats have had, I would have thought that they would have gone along with the continuing resolution, at least for now.

I am fully supportive of what the GOP are attempting, I'm fully supportive of reducing government spending.

The left have become so opposed of the political leader, whatever he offers I think they would find cause to fight him.

I individually am not experiencing the urgency that some Americans are, this does not affect.

What little we do dependent on the public services - what it does provide for us - the shutdown is will leave unchanged us {whatsoever|at all|in any
